It was such a lovely day on Saturday that we decided to go to Whitby - and so did the rest of the North East of England it seemed. I guess everybody was suffering from cabin fever after all the wet and windy weather. Remembering that it was still early January we were very surprised to find that three of the best fish and chip restaurants had queues outside at 1.45 pm! Worth the wait though as they do some very good fish and chips in Whitby.
Just a couple of photos which I thought worth keeping. The fishermen on the pier made me laugh - obviously they were taking no notice of the 'No Fishing' sign.

Aysgarth Falls
September and October were quiet months from a photographic point of view mainly because I was very busy with admin for SPS. We did manage a trip into the dales, specifically to Aysgarth Falls so that I could try out my new 10 stop filter.

Looking for Inspiration
Took a short walk along the river today in the hope of finding a picture for the 365 project. I thought maybe I would see some ducklings but they must all have been hiding. Now I can't decide which picture to use for today.

Dales Workshop - Day 2
Monday, 18 July 2011
Ribblesdale
Stokesley Photographic Society recently held a workshop in the Yorkshire Dales led by Leigh Preston. We all had a great time and managed to fit a lot into the weekend. Weather was mixed but we were only caught out in one sharp shower, with hailstones, when we were on the limestone pavement above the Ribblehead viaduct.
