September and October were quiet months from a photographic point of view mainly because I was very busy with admin for SPS. We did manage a trip into the dales, specifically to Aysgarth Falls so that I could try out my new 10 stop filter.

Scarborough Rocks
Last week we enjoyed a day in Scarborough on a fossil hunt with the NH Group of the U3A. As usual, when on a beach, I was more interested in photographing the lovely sandstone rocks than looking for fossils. I did manage to find a couple though!
The two rocks below do have fossils in them, probably gingko leaves.

There may also be a few fossils in these two pictures on the left!
We left Stokesley in the rain but the sun had come out just a little by the time we got to the beach. However once we had finished lunch it was raining very, very hard. There were still plenty of people walking on the beach in the rain. When we returned home we discovered that it had been raining all day.
